In March we did our first exclusive big game fishing trip to Crocodile Bay Lodge. Earlier we had combined some fishing as a sideline to the hunting, but this was serious fishing only.

Crocodile Bay is easily reached from the States with several direct flights into San Jose.

We were met after clearing customs in San Jose by Crocodile Bays driver and taken to a beautiful hotel they had arranged for us. The next day the same driver picked us up and took us to the airport to catch our flight to Crocodile Bay.

The flight was in a small two engine aircraft over the mountains and ocean to Crocodile Bay. Very scenic!

Crocodile Bay Lodge itself offers 4-Star accommodation, meals, touring day, and night excursions into the surrounding countryside and the jungle plus great fishing.

We were taken great care of while we were there, and the staff were genuinely interested in us having a wonderful time.

Sadie and I fished catching sailfish, mahi mahi, bonito, rooster fish, rainbow runner and several others. We had a ball!

What we also found remarkably interesting was the sloth tour where we saw several of these unique creatures. The chocolate tour where we made chocolate from scratch was also nice.

Overall, a trip to Crocodile Bay Lodge will give you a beautiful experience in a beautiful part of the world.
